kartik krishna chaturthi- the real meaning of karwa chauth

kartik krishna chaturthi is celebrated as goddess gauri (lord shiv's consort) by women, for the longevity of their husbands…..

but, what is the truth to it..???

the month before kartik is ashwin, which means the full moon occurs in the ashwini nakshatra and, this celebration occurs on fourth lunar day, chaturthi, which means the fourth day from full moon…..
so, we have to count the fourth nakshatra from ashwini…..

therefore, with full moon in ashwini nakshatra,
- pratipada/first night will be in bharani nakshatra,
- dwitiya/second night will be in kritika nakshatra,
- tritiya/third night will be in rohini nakshatra, and,
- chaturthi/fourth night moon will be mrigshira nakshatra.

this solves the whole puzzle…..


so, why fourth lunar night, the fourth harmonic of kartik month;s waning moon is celebrated?
because, mrigshira nakshatra which is also known as orion is a portal, a star-way to the realm of three-eyed being and, on earth beings call a three-eyed lord as "shiv".
no wonder, gauri- the consort of shiv is worshipped on the fourth waning day of kartik month….. 

but, for who's longevity?
immortal beings can not live forever and have a limited stay in the earthly body, then,

how can one day's fasting grant a long life..???
the real logic is- the penance is towards the longevity of a being holding the celestial water of sacred knowledge, the holder of gnan ganga….. 
that's whom gauri/parvati did her penance towards, to enter the realm of shiv thru' orion and the remnants of her tapasya are only left, but, the whole real essence of connecting to orion is lost….. 

and certainly,
- no female today would worship or perform penance towards a being like shiv who sits atop a mountain with bare body,
- no female today will perform a day fast for a hermit who doesn't own any property or have money,
- no female today have the patience to listen to a real man who can speak knowledge for thousands of years,
- no female today strive to have a real maskuline man like shiv (not by gym body but, the real evolved gene code) to be their real half, ardh-angini, the true better half,
- no female today can survive/willing to survive in a tough terrain like mount kailash,
but, all project as devis, durga, kali, shakti and what not on the social platforms.....

no connection, no penance, no sacred knowledge, no liberation, no entry to eternal realms…..
only fashion, madness, bollywood drama, stories and social show-off is all prevalent.....
